Mitzvah Day 2024

At Pinner Shul on Mitzvah Day we did several community mitzvot.  In the morning, we visited a local care home and Pinner Shul volunteers led a sing along and had tea with the residents which was gratefully appreciated.  The Manager of the care home said ‘Our residents loved their Sunday morning treat with your volunteers.  You can come back anytime!’  We also held a collection and asked members to donate certain items which were then packed into Emergency Care Packs (we had around 80 packs) and delivered to Northwick Park Hospital.  Our members enjoy actively taking part in Mitzvah Day and getting involved in these wonderful projects.

Mitzvah Day 2022

In 2022 we collected for Sebby’s Corner. a local charity that believes no child should go without basic essentials such as clothing, nappies, formula, toiletries and baby equipment.

Youth & kids wrote cards and drew pictures, they sorted toys and clothes (and donated some too!). They also made Chanukah cards for Pinner Shul’s elderly members.

A huge thank you to everyone who donated and participated.

Mitzvah Day is the UK’s largest faith-led day of social action, guided by the Jewish values of Tikkun Olam (repairing the world), Gemilut Chasadim (acts of kindness) and Tzedek (justice), with Jews and non-Jews coming together to build more cohesive neighbourhoods and to strengthen civil society.
