The Jewish Beat behind British Pop

Join us for two fascinating and entertaining sessions with Maurice Selwyn, on a journey through the golden age of British music from the 1950s to the 1970s and discover the remarkable — and often untold — story of how Jewish artists, producers, managers, songwriters, impresarios and creative visionaries helped shape the soundtrack of a generation.

From the birth of rock ’n’ roll to the explosion of British pop, we will uncover the personalities, influences and behind-the-scenes stories that transformed British music and culture, with fresh insights into some of the biggest names and moments in popular music history. Future sessions will explore the extraordinary Jewish connections behind The Beatles and the wider world that surrounded them.

The charge for each sesion is £5 – please register by filling out the form on this page.
